Terms of Service

Last updated: May 3, 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Osseo ("Osseo", "we", "us"), the operator of the Osseo / Ossie Learn anatomy study service (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Osseo is an interactive anatomy study tool offering tap-to-explore diagrams, quizzes, flashcards, exam packs, and AI-generated practice scenarios. Some features are free; some require an active Osseo Pro subscription.

3. Account & authority

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction (or have a parent or guardian's consent) to use the Service. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information.

4. Acceptable use

You will not, and will not allow others to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
  • send spam, malware, or attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the Service;
  • scrape, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service or circumvent technical limits;
  • infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights of Osseo or others;
  • resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service.

5. Intellectual property

Osseo and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the software, content, illustrations, generated images, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan.

6. User content

You retain ownership of drawings, notes, and other content you create. You grant Osseo a limited license to host, store, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. The terms governing payment, billing, taxes, currency conversion, cancellations, and refunds are set out in the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings or via paddle.net.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep Osseo available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time; on termination, paid features end at the end of the current billing period and we may delete your data after a reasonable export window.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Osseo's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

11. AI-generated content

Some features (e.g., bone explanations, scenarios, exam packs, illustrations) are generated by AI. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are provided for educational purposes only. They are not medical, clinical, or professional advice and must not be relied on for patient care or examinations without independent verification by a qualified professional. You are responsible for your prompts, for verifying outputs, and for ensuring you have rights to any content you submit. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs and suspend accounts for repeated misuse or rights violations.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Osseo's place of establishment. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
